Rylan James Michael... in 3D!!

So we finally had our 3d US Monday night. It was so nice to see who has been kicking the crap out of my insides! And even though we were worried Aaliyah would have a break down like she always does when someone is touching me she ran around the room and played with the toys they had! Now thats my kind of place.... equipped for people with CHILDREN! Nothing seems to be that way these days.

Rylan had his hands to his face the whole time and it was really hard to get good shots of him. But I think they did a really good job!

Its totally amazing any chance you get to see your baby in action in your belly! We did Aaliyahs US at 30 weeks also. I will post a blog another day and compare the two. I have to pull out her CD.

Potentially 5 short, yet very long weeks till we meet out little man if he is like his big sister!

Every girl knows Ken has a thing for Barbie

So I dug out my old Barbie and Ken (hence kens 80's sweater) for Aaliyah to play with the other day to see if she liked them! Well she sure does! I cant wait to play Barbies with her! Some how Aaliyah just knew that Ken has always had a thing for Barbie, and at 18 months old, she made them KISS! I was rolling on the floor laughing! How do kids learn these things?

My little girl is growing up....

Aaliyah is 18 months old today. Where has the time gone? She has learned so many things since she turned a year! At a year and a half its like she went from baby to toddler in the blink of an eye!

She has mastered the art of walking......

My genius baby can even count to 10!! Though I havent gotten it on video yet!

Aaliyah loves books, playing dress up with the weirdest things, and watching the Backyardigans, Dora, Deigo, The Fresh Beat Band and the Wonder Pets. Oh yea she like SPONGE BOB also.

Aaliyah is talking up a storm. Some of her favorite words are "AWW MAN" and "Oh No" She loves to say Hi to everyone she sees in the stores and people just get a kick out of her out going personality

Even though she is growing up fast......

Not to mention Aaliyah is having a baby brother! And we will have great pictures to post of him after our 3D US on Monday!

HAPPY 18 MONTHS AALIYAH

A painting for Rylan

We decided to have Aaliyah make a canvas painting for Rylan for his room.

We are trying to include her in everything we do for him!

And what kid doesnt love to paint and make a mess?

I think we have a future Van Gogh on our hands!

Bed rest.... blah

So last week I got orderded to bed rest. They ran a fetal fibronectin test on me at the doctors. To put it simply it tests for a protien that is given off when the baby is preparing for delivery. It is supposed to predict a 2 week delivery period. I had a few with Aaliyah, all were negative, and the last one that was negative was wrong. The doctor said I fell into a .7% for false negatives. With a positive, it can be false easier. My test was positive. Which should mean I have a HIGH risk of having baby Rylan SOON. So I was put on steroids for Rylans lungs which will make my face blow up and me gain more weight, Im not looking forward to the changes but it will help Rylans lungs develop faster. I see the dr again on the 16th and I guess we will take it from there. For now all I am allowed to do is sit, go to the bathroom, take a bath, and sit some more.

Poor Aaliyah is stuck being totally bored with me ALL DAY LONG. I am allowed to prepare small meals for her and I take her up to her nap daily, but thats about it. Other than that we hang out in the living room watching Dora and The Backyardigans.

Im not even allowed to go shopping.... I have to use a wheel chair, which was pretty fun at the outlets, it went alot faster and I didnt wear out. I even got to look at things from a whole new level and found some cute outfits in carters towards the floor! LOL

The 28th is our next big day... our 3D US!!! We cant wait to see who Rylan looks like!

Aaliyah decided this little yellow fruit looked delicious as it was floating in my ice t when we went out to eat! So she grabbed it and here are the results of her tastey discovery.

So you would think after this "what the heck is this?" face she would have chucked the lemon. But sometimes it takes a little time for a flavor to grow on you.....

My 1st post

I have finally created our family blog! After much debate as to what to name it. Things were rattled off like, A Gaggle of Gralas, a Garden of Gralas, Growing up Grala, Gigidy Gigidy Grala, Yo Gabba Grala etc LOL
I decided to go with a song that explains our life. "It wont be like this for long" By Darius Rucker
